This years contest will be a variant on last seasons question of my favorite single malt. My favorite single malt scotch is Highland Park. I was once gifted with a bottle of the 25 year old which blew me away. While that is too pricey for me, I still enjoy the 12 year old.

Even more enjoyable was all the guesses which led me to whiskeys I had never heard of. I had fun googling all the scotch names and noting which ones I wanted to taste. I made two discoveries I have become quite fond of: another single malt and an Irish whiskey. A dozen free plants to the first person who guesses either correctly.

My favorite Local Growers Guild items are fromage a trois from Capriole, yogurt from Traders Point, parmesan peppercorn baguette from Scholars Inn and garlic and herb cheese from The Swiss Connection.
